Default HIDS installed with resistors.. No flicker but still Light out error??

I just installed ddm hids on my truck, Plugged in resistors to the lights and they dont flicker at all, but i still get bulb out light on dash. That will def. annoy me pretty badly. Any idea what i can do? The Resistors were already wired i just plugged them in from hid bulb harness to wireharness on truck. These are the resistors I got...

also, i have 35w low beam kit only, and i have the wiring harness w/relay hooked up as well to the kit

I plug the stock bulbs in and they work and still light, turned the truck on and off several times. Not sure what is going on?? I took off one side of the hid with resistor and installed yesterday and it worked without flicker or lamp out.. put it back to stock because i was in a hurry i couldnt install. turned truck off like twice with stock bulbs and it went off.. not sure what is going on??? All bulbs are working 100%

I had this prob with mine as well....I ended up needing an inline capacitor on each side. Works like a charm now

most of us have jobs and get on here when we can, you will get more responses during the week
and saying a forum is dead when your thread has been up for 2 days on the weekend is a bit rude bud

anyways did you check all your lights, maybe you lost a tail light and didn't notice

youve got 15 posts and are telling us this forum is dead? Ive gotten like 3 pms today and answered like 10 posts, and just saw 10 new open threads. If you want help dont just get on a forum and start talking **** one day in

These things are hit and miss honestly, sometimes resistors work, other times capacitors. I have inline resistors and was helping a guy selling them figure out the problem and tried a set like you have, and my lights wouldnt work with it hooked up. Unhook your battery for 15 seconds and rehook it and see if it will work, mine did that once and resetting it worked

Alright guys, I'm sure he's just excited about getting his new mod installed! ;-)

What resistors do you have?
Also, removing stock bulbs and re-installing hid's several times and cycling your key is prob. confusing the computer and it's turning that circuit off internally.
again, what resistors do you have. pre-made? Link?

Sorry guys, been on acura forums, and such with my last cars. This is the first truck ive ever owned actually. Im use to real "lively" forums. These ram ones are the slowest ive ever been on. Not **** talking just saying what it is. Usually if im in a bind with my other car i jump on and i get answer in minutes. Truck is still sitting un useable because i dont want to keep taking off the lights and putting them back on.

Is is a problem i only have the low beam kit and nothing is hooked into the hi beam? I have these resistors.. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...K%3AMEWNX%3AIT
link is also posted in first post.. Thanks hope to figure this out. BTW the resistors say 50w 4.7ohm on them. I think im going to order some on ebay right now 50w 6ohm like i see alot of others using not sure if it will work or not but worth a shot

Ive done probably close to 100 hid kits, never had a problem like this quite frustrating. I spent the last 2 days installing new door speakers and a head unit. took me a good 2 hours, to get my hand behind the dash to unplug the damn harness from the factory amp to plug in my amp bypass. not to mention a bloody hand... Def. jumping through alot of hoops for any little mod i seem to want to do so far

When you say you have a low beam kit, it is low beam ONLY with no high beam at all or a low beam with HID and a high beam with halogen?

You will need something on the high beam side as the truck knows there is supposed to be both a ligh beam and a low beam as thats what the OEM bulbs are.
