will the 37x13.50r17 tires fit on a dodge ram 1500 4x4 quad cab sxt with a 6" pro comp lift. would they rub alot. like an m/t tire? i do very minor offroading like construction sites.

 

The height is good I think, I have plenty of room with 6" of lift on my 2wd but the 13.5" wide could cause a problem if you are wanting to use stock rims

 

if you have rims with 4.5" backspacing you should have no problem

 

Im inclined to say no. A 37x12.50 is tight as it is and that little bit of extra width and most wheel combinations is a recipe for ripping a fender off. We just finished lifting a 2010 2500 at work, 6in lift, offet rims and 37x13.50r17 Toyo M/Ts and at the moment they rub the fender liner and you can tell that in the event of hittin a bump at 3/4 to full turn it would for sure grab the pinch weld and potentially rip the fender apart and shredding the tire. On the 2500s the axle will move forward slightly when the suspension is compressed, However on your 1500 the way the IFS is built it will move back slightly when hitting bumps because of the castor angle it requires, there for making the whole clearance issue even worse.

37's will clear and look good too. Ive got 36's and have lots of room

 

yeah they will clear, but you will not see any benefit off road, so if you are planning on any flex off road get ready to eat up your fenders. Now add a 3 inch body lift on top of it and you will be set.

 

The 13.5" width will have issues unless you get the proper wheel OR use spacers.

As far as the height goes, if the tire is a true 37" (few are, most can be anywhere from 1/2" to 1 1/2" shorter than listed when mounted) then you may have fitment issues.

I am unsure of the Pro Comp kit for the '06+ coil over front 4x4s, but on the '02-'05 torsion front 4x4s, the Pro Comp 6" kit actually measures closer to 5" and does NOT clear 37s without other modifications...

 

I have 37x13.5.. they will fit.. A lil bit of rub if your steering wheel is locked to either side and you have some articulation at the same

 

Be interesting to see just how tall your 37s are. My 35s actually measure at 34.25". Going by that, if my brand of tire is closer to 36" than the listed 37" I could have gone to 37s with my 4" of suspension lift.

That's what makes it so tough to just arbitrarily answer a "will this fit" question. There is just SO much variance between tires from brand to brand as well as a good bit of variance from one suspension lift kit to another. Had a guy measure his FabTech 6" kit after install and found it was not even 5" higher.

We have a member who bought 33x12.5 tires on his truck and was VERY disappointed to find that even when aired up all the way to the max PSI, his tires measured UNDER 31.5" with a tape measure once mounted! Even thought the "specs" from the manufacturer listed that 33" tire at 32.8"...

 

I have a Fabtech 6 inch lift and it is actually about 4 1/2 inches. I have Pro Comp 35x 12.5x20's and they are actually about 32 inches tall. So every manufacture can be different. I do a little off roading and my tires will rub a bit so I try and not to turn it lock to lock, or keep out of deep ruts.
