I have a 2003 Ram 1500 4.7l that I have had a coulpe problems as of late. If anyone could give me some help, I thank you. First my truck was starting hard, longer turn over than normal, then died and would not start. found no fuel pressure. Changed pump. Now the truck stalls with hard acceleration. Will not start if I put into neutral but will if I stop and place in park. Starts with no problems. Truck runs great at any other time. Thank you.

 

While you were in there changing the pump, did you also change the filter? The "no start in neutral" sounds like the neutral safety switch is confused.

 

I did change the filter, It came with the pump. I could not find an additional filter in the line.

 

Hmmm. It does sound like fuel starvation. Try accelerating hard in reverse and see what it does. What is the fuel rail pressure now that it has a new pump?
