Rear Axle

I have a 2004 Ram 1500. Can anybody tell me how difficult it is to replace a Rear Axle seal? And does it require any special tools. Any tips.

Yes a special tool is required, Probably be rented from auto parts store though. 1 to 10, 10 being most difficult it is about a 4 IMHO.

What is the tool called? I am mechanically inclined for normal repairs. Specialty tools are something I have access to but do not own.
