you just contradicted yourself.

What bolt are you talking about? The center pin that goes through the leafs into the axle is what prevents it from rotating (as well as centering the spings) The shocks and drive shaft are still attached, but without the pin the only thing keeping it together are the u bolts and plates.

You're talking about this right?

We are talking about the metal spring pin or crimp pin that's in there as well as the bolt my pin is gone not my center bolt, I would agree it would be dangerous to leave both out. But I am speaking of an item that doesn't need to be in there

There is a bolt (as previously pictured) holding the spring pack together and a 3/16" (?) roll pin. The roll pin needs to be cut or if you prefer left out. The bolt holding the spring pack together needs to be re-installed. The rolling axle problem comes with running a flip kit and folks (including myself) usually weld the axle housing to the spring perches to prevent it from happening.

Welding the perches is not required but with the flip kit it is safer to weld them as rotational force is being applied to the bottoms of the perches rather than being clamped tight to the springs by the U bolts.

I have all this including airtools for any hard bolts, although i only have 35k and live in a dry climate, so minimal rust/etc.. So i dont physically need to go to hardware store n buy any bolts, i should get my shackles today or tomorrow and ill tackle this
