Default 2004 Ram Dually (about tires)

Hello guys

This forum has been a great source of information for me..I wanna thank you all and keep it up

i have a question regarding tire size on my 2004 ram 3500 4*4 dually 17" wheels.. am planning on replacing the stock tires by a new 275/65/17 tires but i have been told that those wouldn't fit because the gap btween the rear tires wouldn't be enough and they will wear each others out.

could somone please tell me if thats true or not?
and what is the largest size of tires that can fit on my truck without any kits?

thanks

I have a 2004 3500 drw also, I dont know who told you that 275 65 17 wont work. But i know have bout around a total 4 sets of rear tires on my dually and they have all been 275 65 17. IDK the biggest you can go but these have always got me over and through everything since i owned the truck.
