help!!!!!!!!!!!!!2002 1500 problem

Default help!!!!!!!!!!!!!2002 1500 problem

i have a 02 1500 with the 5.9 360 and when i start it cold it will run fine for about 3 to 5 minutes then while under load it starts hesitating and running like it wants to die so i stop turn it off and restart it and it seems to run fine after the restart i replaced the cps and no luck still does it, no error codes either im kinda lost on this. anyone with advice on this would b greatly helpful

What's the cps? You mean TPS(throttle pos. sensor?)
Or did you intentionally mean the cam sensor? If no codes were thrown, i wouldn't see how the cam sensor would be of issue.

sorry i meant the crankshaft postion sensor, had a mechanic tell me to change that and see if that was the problem it wasnt though kinda stuck on what 2 do now

no codes tested fuel pressure this morning right at 50 psi could the problem possible be a o2 sensor i put on a flowmaster cat back system couple of years ago and i had to replace a o2 sensor, just a thought

50lbs is about right from the last srvc man I recently read.

sounds like your precat 02 sensor is on the way out, quite often you won't get a CEL from these until they fail. Check your IAC it may need to be cleaned as well.

im gonna replace the precat o2 sensor and see if that fixes the prob not 2 sound like a dumbass but what is a IAC thnx for your help guys

thnx 4 your help guys looks like the precat o2 sensor was the culprit i gained a couple of mpg plus running alot smoother now thnx again
