I think there is a reset button on the box under your dash.

i had the same problem with the remote start on my dak. i got the factory alarm/remote start and one day out the blue i got thr horn souhd but no start. i started cheking all doors and found out that the hood pin was the problem. i called the dealer and they want $60.00 for the pin. i fix it putting a rubber thingy on top of the pin so that it will get more pressure down from the hood and problem fixed. the pin is not height adjustable. open the hood, press the pin down with your finger and turn it on with the remote start to see if it works.. good luck.....

Do you mean a removable remote starter switch? Like something you hook to turn your starter over to use to check timing and such? I know I got mine at sears a few years ago. It was the same thing just had a differnt pistol style trigger. Like this? http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_1...&blockType=G12

I think he is talking about a hood pin switch. In order the the RS to work the hood must be closed. Do a search on ebay for "alarm hood pin" and you will find what you need. They are a universal pin switch.

double check on the "universal" side because i took out the ohe on my dak and if it is a factory remote start they have electronic components inside. it cost $60.00 at the dealer. try to push it down with your finger and then use the remote start to see if it works. if it works doing that you can get away putting a rubber cap or something on top of the pin to give it more pressure from the hood when it's closed. that's how i fixed my remote start. good luck.....

All the switch does is break contact. if you just cut the switch wires, you will essentially bypass it. I didn't even install the one on my truck. it was more of a hassle than it would have been worth.

*You do not need to start a new thread for the same topic that you posted up previously. They have both been merged.
