Well p0500 is the speed sensor as you already know. Did you check the front sensors within the hub assemblies?

It could still be the battery. The charging voltage of the alt has little to do with the charging capabilities of the battery or its amp load rating when dying. All you showed there was that the alt is putting out voltage.

He is trying for the DTC codes I assume. There is a How To in the FAQs that are stickied at the top of this forum section. But they are not DTC codes per se. IMO, you should go by any auto parts store and let them connect a scanner to the truck and give you the codes.

Since you stated in your original post that your ABS light is illimunated, it's rare, but can happen, that you have an illuminated ABS light without ABS on your vehicle. Most Rams have RWAL(rear wheel abs). if you didn't have abs at all, then your cluster would not illuminate ABS and should have been diabled by the manufacturer upon programming.
The abs module for the RWAL is between the battery and the firewall on the driverside fender. I'm not sure if the speed sensor wires go into that and then to your ecu??? I haven't paid attention??

is it possible the alternator crapped out because it was struggling with keeping a dying battery going?
