i have not yet installed the 2nd resistor and now being told i may need a 3rd resistor in the hanging headlamp harness thats not in use to prevent the lamp-out,, is this true or they trying to sell me another resistor,, i also checked the temp on the one that was installed for the lo/beam, 340. degrees, is this normal,??

If you have xenon then you need one resistor on each side (total of two) for the low beam (HID) wires.

If you have bi-xenon then you need two resistors on each side (total of four) for the HID low and HID high beam wires.

The blue plug is the 9007 "D" shaped plug that plugs into your OEM head light wiring.

Yes, they will get hot as that what load resistors do. Thats also why they have those little heat sink fins on them. They are made ti dissipate heat. Securing them to the frame is a very good idea.

I believe mine are 9008, so if mine run off one side do I need to do anything to passenger side OEM plug?

2007 DR's have H13 headlight bulbs.

Go to ebay and type "H13 plug" and see what they have. Make sure you get the right male/female plug that you need.
