TIPM corrosion is a common problem. You don't have a year listed? You should update your profile.
2006 = extremely expensive.....$750 for just the module
2007 = still expensive.....$600 for just the module
2008= much cheaper well, because most are still warrantied...$500

You could replace it in like 10minutes yourself, but the problem is they need to be configued to your vin options. The only way is to pay the dealer the $120 they want for install and programming. it's actually not a bad price.
I would just make sure your connectors that are a part of the truck are well cleaned and I would buy a tube of dielectric grease and have them squirt a small amount in the connectors when they install it. The meachanic was rather impressed i used dielectric grease on every single electrical item on my truck...lol

Can the terminals not be cleaned so you can keep your current tipm module?

Sorry about that. The truck is a 2006. They quoted me a price of $773 for the TIPM and a RoUgh estimate to clean the connectors. The problem now is the truck won't start and it had to be towed. I just can't seem to win with this thing. I have been having electrical problems with this for the past 2 months and it seemed like things were getting worse.

That was my thought to clean the connectors my self but when the truck wouldn't start I had enough.

Thanks for the reply
Aaron
