Default Aftermarket accessories

I have just bought a Aftermarket alarm kit for my 2004 hemi ram, it turns out that the imobaliser part cannot be installed because the ram uses cam bus and not direct 12v, is there any way around this issue, i also cant wire up the indicators to flash when arming for the same reason. any help welcome

Cheers

Neil

you have to get a special module to get around this on head units so I would think a similar (or the same) module would do the same on the alarm

I know my immobilizer function is all tied into the starter interface bypass module. Your keys are chipped, which is prob. why you can't use it because there is already an immobilzer in place called your Sentry key. Canbus network is just a bunch of Multiplex wiring so you need to be really careful what you probe as a test light can set off airbags..etc
Be careful what wires you connect to as well!!!
The parking lights are a white w/green trace on the backside of the light switch. There will be two white wires with the green trace.. if you have a test light, both green/red led's will flicker intermittently when the parking lights are activated on just one of them. This is a high resistance negative trigger and will flash your parking lights and headlights when arming/disarming and when the alarm goes off. Your multimeter will obviously show voltage source when the parking lights are switch, so which ever way you wanna go about it will work. Just stay AWAY from the white/yellow wire. that's a 12v constant feed. NOT what you want.

I have an 04 DR and my keys are not chipped. I have a Clifford 50.7x with remote start that I wired all myself. I also wired my own starter interrupt. It can be done.
