2002 Dodge Ram 1500 radiator Headaches...
Heres the story...
My truck overheated one day and I realized there was a leak in the radiator.
So I purchased a new radiator and switched it out...
It ran good for a week (no overheating , line stayed in the middle)
One day i decided to floor the gas to speed up and after going like 80mph for like 1 minute or so the guage is going past the middle....Then it overheats.
After getting it towed, i look underneath and realized the hose to the radiator (the main big one by the right side tire) was out. So i buy a clamp...close it up and drop 2 gallons of anti freeze......mission accomplished right... same moment i finsih , I take it for a spin around the neighborhood and its overheating again...NOWWWW WHATT!!! im thinking thermostat..help please..

All the air was bled out of the system after you fixed the problems? What engine? Thermostat would be next, then if its a 4.7 liter, check for combustion gases in the coolant. The 4.7s dont like overheats and will toss a head gasket/ head quickly.
Just buy the pre-mixed 50/50 antifreeze. if you EVER have to put water into it down the road make sure it is distilled water. Non-distilled water will leave deposits flowing through your system and will clog up your rad

You may also want to do a thread search for 4.7's that overheat just so you can become more familiar with the issues those guys have.
