Default can i lift this thing any higher?

Hey guys I have an 03 Ram with the torsion bar system. I have a 6" RCD lift kit installed (Not the RCX). I'm wanting to lift this thing higher, the kit uses the drop brackets for the torsion bars. It doesn't really sit that high, I know rough country for their lift called for 37"s and the RCD called for 35"s with their kit, I have 35"s. I was interested in doing an add-a-leaf in the back and a leveling kit in the front. OR doing a 3" body lift. The only issue I'm running into (in my head) is extending the steering arm more. Does this need to be done with a body lift? It is already extended ~3-4". I had the truck "leveled" before the lift so I didn't gain a full 6" in the front. The back was lifted with a 4" block. Just wondering what my options are here.

Thanks Guys!

Body lift comes to my mind but as you said, normally the steering column before it goes into the rack gets an extension. I assume you could add another in there op top of what you have but you may choose to take the one that comes with the BL and measure how long you need it to be and go find a machine shop and let them machine one for you in the overall length you need to "be more safe".

Be easy if you had a steering gear. Only was I can really see is to extend steering column. However, I question weather Our weak Rack's can handle the extra force of turning beefy 37's. Another thing your going to run up against is your pinion angle along with the angle of your front CV's.

There are a few other things I can think of that become an issue when lifting that much, However, most are fairly minor.

What I don't get is, If can fit 35's with no rubbing by just cranking my T-bars 2 inches. Why can't you fit 37's with a 6" lift?

Ive got heavy 36's and 24" rims and I have had no issues so far with anything on my front end. So you may be ok as well. Only one way to find out.

Yeah, I bet that combo is much heavier than just sticking 37's on set of 15's or 20's, So maybe i am wrong. On the other hand I keep constantly hearing about people blowing out seals and racks actually coming loose from the mountings.
Here's a question though, do you do offroading? It reads like the OP does a bit and that is alot tougher on our steering.

I could FIT 37"s on mine, but I wouldn't care for the look of it. Honestly I don't want my tires in the wheel wells much at all. Looks better IMO. My lift called for 33"s or 35"s with minor trimming. I'm running a 315/70-17 on a 17x9 and I havn't had any rubbing at all. But I think it would look a lot better about 3" higher on them rims/tires.

My tires and rims are over 100 lbs a piece. My rack and pinion has since blown out basically. It makes all kinds of snaps, crackles, pops. Almost thought about putting it across my windshield. I don't do any off roading, although I would like to see what it can do but it's basically a pavement princess with a bad attitude.

Ahh, I see. Personally I think the 2nd gen rams pull that look off better. 3rd gens have way to much wheel well, lol. Just for a random off the wall comment, Amusingly enough, 2wd's are easier to lift than 4wd's.

I just don't like that when the rear end is flexing my tires almost rub the wheel wells. It just seems like it should be a couple inches higher. Also hate the constant sagging in the torsion bars.. idk why they do that..
