Shorty plug wires

02-05 HEMIs have plug wires. 06+ use dual firing coil packs although you can retrofit them on the 02-05 like I did mine. A lot of guys use shorties though and the only issue i have heard from using them is sometimes in the winter they dont work good. But that could be just some guys who have that issue and not everyone

Was a write up on another forum that's kind of a more tech geek forum. Membership is mostly Mopar tech shop guys and guys who work in the industry.
According to the thread, dynos were run with stock wires, stock length but thicker wires and shorty thick wires. Performance was WORSE with the shorties! The theory was that the wire length in the '02-'05s was critical in the proper timing of the firing of the secondary plug and the shorty wires threw the timing off by fractions of a second.
Also stated was that the performance loss was minimal (like 2 or 3 HP if I remember correctly) so you'd need a dyno to see it.
Best gains were the standard length, but thicker wires (but again, something small that only a dyno would see)...
