Leveling and shock questions
I just romove a skyjacker leveling kit from my 04 QC 2500 w off road pkg. Didnt seem to ride right. I also installed skyjacker shocks. I want to level the truck out again loved the stance. SO.... what is a good leveling kit? Do I go with 2" of 1 1/2". I would like a kit that is as close to a stock ride or better then stock as possible.. Any suggests?
The Skyjacker kits are supposed to be one of the better kits on the market. Don't have any experience with them on 2500s, but the reviews are all good. What exactly was your issue?
What did the skyjacker kit consist of, new coil springs or a spacer?
I have a 2" steel spacer on my truck and it seems to ride just as it did stock. I cant really see how a spacer would change the ride quality much, but a set of different springs that may have had a different spring rate would definitely change the ride. So could a different set of shocks.

Oh, and which height one to go with kinda varies from truck to truck. The 2" leveled my truck perfectly, but 2" on my dads truck made it sit nose high. For whatever reason, his truck sat 1" higher (front only) than mine did before the leveling kit.
Simply measure the difference in height of the front wheel well and the rear wheel well, or at the bottom of the body. I believe my back sits about 1" higher (by measurement), but it almost looks lower. So I would suggest having the back slightly higher unless you like that "cali" look.
Also, keep in mind that if you purchase a leveling kit that replaces the coils springs, there is no telling "exactly" what height it will lift your truck.

So...you pulled off one level kit and would like to replace it with another?
As far as i know, the 2500's are just spacer kits. I don't see one brand being any better than another as far as that goes. What would make the difference is the shocks that are used in conjunction with the leveling spacers. Spacers are spacers.

I just installed tonight a set of Tuff Country spacers in my 06 2500. It a #32900 kit. Took a little over 3hrs, i was having an issue with getting the passanger side of the axle down low enough to get the spring in. I choice this kit because no new shock was needed. Still has stock components but it now sits just about level. Much better. Now i have to try and tell the wife i need bigger tires and rims

I have a 3" Daystar on my truck, have not had any problems with it so far. Ride is good with stock shocks. Mine is a 1500 though, dont really see any difference in the 2500 as far as ride quality though I would not think
