Default Any new info on 2006?

Hey guys, is there anything new on the 2006 Ram yet? Since we're only about 4 months away... I have not found much on the internet. Also do you think we'll loose all the great rebates?

I haven't seen anything new in the brand news section. The rebates will be dependent on sales and market climate. With DC being the only one of the US three making a profit, I wouldn't be surprised to see the rebates dwindle.[&:]

Yeah, I checked over there as well...but I thought I would ask here. It's looking like I'll probably get an 05, however I'd like to get the better gas mileage of the new engine.

On a more general note... (no pun intended)

General Motors has just renewed the incentive wars! According to bigtime marketing researchers, both Ford and Chrysler have "frantically requested data" (a direct quote) as to if they will have to follow suit. Of course they will!

Another marketing report this week pointed out that all domestics will be in harder straights in the upcoming year because they have so thoroughly saturated the market with recent incentives/rebates and have so many people in new or nearly new vehicles who cannot possible affort to trade or buy (hence, the incredible push to absurd leases we've seen the last few weeks). It was also noted that inport buyers are NOT typically potential customers for domestics, no matter what the "Big Three" do.

So, if you want an '06, give it a little time. I also doubt the restyled frontend will go over particularly well and if you like it you'll have plenty of chances to get what you want at a decent price.

All the best.

US three? Sorry there's only 2 and that's Gm and Ford, Also Ford made a profit last quarter. And with Ram sales down this year I don't think rebates will be dwindling anytime soon on it even when the new Ram is introduced considering it's not a completely different truck but more of an evolution rather than a revolution.

When you say "hence, the incredible push to absurd leases we've seen the last few weeks", are you talking about the ram? I have not seen that many lease specials myself.

So from the sounds of it, I'll be just fine waiting...

FYI-- the best deal to this point was a Ram Reg cab, with sport, stereo upgrade, rear slider, and dif lock--for $326 a month, 36 months, 15k miles, $2200 down. That was including the current owner extra rebates. The bad part of the whole deal is I could lease a quad cab for about $275 a month, however I want a reg cab for sure.

So sorry in showing both my age and my parochial world-view. For me, GM, Ford, and Chrysler are still the big three domestics... excuse me! I still have trouble calling Chysler "DC!" However, I'm old enough to remember the domestic six or seven!

I'll try to do better in the future.
