Hi everyone, Does Dodge still use the 46re transmission in it's trucks? And if not what was the last year that they used it? Thanks in advance.

 

I think they replaced them in 2002? I know all of the Hemi's (truck only) and 5spd tranny behind the 4.7 (currently) and such use the 545RFE which is supposedly many times better. I have a couple of friends with the 46RE and they have had 0 problems b/c they change the tranny fluid and adjust bands every 25-30K miles. It is amazing how long something will last with proper care.
