Can't program a gear that isn't physically there.

Sure a new bulb might be able to be soldered on. Very tedious and is most likely an SMD which is fused onto the board. A new bulb isn't gonna help if it's a bad connection or bus line feeding the circuit

I soldered new bulbs on my HVAC board. It's not that hard if you have reasonable manual dexterity and the proper tools.

Here is my question. If it was a bad connection why would only a few bulbs be dim and not all of them?

I do know that some people are indeed soldering on new bulbs/LED's to change colour on both the HVAC and instrument cluster boards.

I dont mind the link but if you go to tinyURL.com and give them the link and post it back here it will work and you will not have to do the *** or break it up. Just a little FYI on how to cheat.

I replaced all of the lights in my cluster and my climate control cluster. All the bulbs just twist out at the base and are replacable. I bought the new bulbs from the dealer. Non of the bulbs were LED. I have an 04 ram 1500. I hope this helps.

I'm not sure when they started the integration now that you say that... It might be for 06+ only???

And weed, yeah, but it's not an easy task if you aren't capable or have good tools. I'm more than certain you could if you needed to. I said NEED....lol Again, you may even have twisties? If you do have twiaties, those are halogen and not LED just as Kscha41 stated

Thank you!

That makes me happy. I'm thinking they may have worked a little loose from the cluster laying in a pile of parts in the garage for a month. When I'll take it out i'll document and maybe try to do a how to thing.
