I'm getting ready to replace the front struts on my 2007 Ram 1500 4wd. I bought the Gabebrial struts. Question is does the strut come off as an assembly and then i can compress the spring, or do I compress the spring first then pull the strut off? If I have to compress the spring while the strut is still on I guess I'm screwed because I can't figure out how to get the compressor on. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

remove as assembly then change strut on your work bench
