Default Heated Seat help

I checked the service manual for my heated seat problems, and it looks like I have to replace the heating pads and the sensor. I was wondering if anyone that has had to do this has any tips to offer and was there an aftermarket pad and sensor that you bought instead of the factory setup from the stealership.
thanks,
Jake

I have seen guys take out their seats and replace the foam. I assume the strips lay on top of the foam? Im so look in the FAQs that are sticked at the top of this page and find the DIY thread on how to remove the seat and coverings.

If you are good and nice, maybe while doing yours you can also document everything and take detailed pics and make your own How To article to help everyone else out

Will do, it looks like you just have to lay the new pad over the existing, I will take photos for everone that needs it.

What was wrong with your heated seats? When I put mine on high, after a few min it's switches to low and blinks and eventually turns off.

the blinking light is the diagnostic code from the seat module. Mine blinks on the low setting of the switch meaning that either the sensor is gone or the heating element. Either way you have to pull the seat apart to fix.
