Installing a body lift on a 2500 and i can't separate the steering shaft. I've done a 1500 and at shaft came out easy this one has nothing to pry against or pull apart

The rest of the lift went great But I'm stuck on separating the shaft for the steering extension

Any help would be great

 

You need a long extension ( i used a 1 1/2ft breaker bar) and a few extensions and on the end a long socket that would fit over the shaft

get that to where you can hit the end with a BFH and it should collapse on itself. make sure your battery is unhooked

 

That would work on a 1500. But this is for a 2500 2006

Basically it goes steering box to a female opening with a splined male piece connected


There is nothing to slam or wedge against to slam
