Running w/o tire pressure sensors
I will be fitting new winter rims/tires when the snow flies.
I did not want to pay $300 for a set of TPMS sensors for my winter tires/rims, I know this will set the warning system off, will it keep binging at me or just flash the warning light?
If it does keep binging is there a way to disable it until I swap the original rims back on after winter ?
Thanks

ZIt'll keep making the noise as it's a warning device. i don't know of anyways to turn it off other than a dealer and they will tell you it's not possible because it's a liability if they turn it off since it's OEM equipp'd. Sounds ridicuolous, but isn't it always.
You can buy cheaper sensors online for much cheaper and they will work.

Ain't got that in my '04 truck (thank goodness), but my '02 Overland does. I got one of the stems dead now and I ain't got the extra $ to replace it right now. When I start up, it beeps once, and my overhead displays a message that my TPMS system has a problem and I need to go see the dealer (yeah, like that'll happen). After about 1/4 mile down the road, the message goes away.
Mines been on every time I start the truck since Ive had the tires rotated. Do I have to reset it or something when I get a rotation? or did something go out thats going to have to get fixed? Im not worried about paying anything, the truck only has 23k on it so they WILL fix it if need be.

This is very common. Check your tire pressures as I'm certain one is a little low. The cold PSI within the tires must be at or higher tham OEM setting before the light will reset. Add some air(37psi) and drive it for a day or 2 and the light should go out. Once it goes out, reduce the pressure back down to normal.(35psi)
