thanks guys!, and yea im really glad that it didnt penitrate the gas tank! anybody know of a good place to get a new driveshaft? arnt they like $500

Is yours bent or have broken ears? i was thinking you would scathe away with e new pumkin collector and a seal?
I'd look at the online salvage yards and get one from there, unless your local guys aren;t too over priced. See, all the junkyards around here want 75% of the dealers retail prices on used pulled off stuff..lmao i have yet to buy anything from them and i dont know how they stay in business with prices like that?

yup, ears are broken off on both sides of the shaft and on the diff as well as on the tranny.

Try http://car-part.com/ within your local area.

Got my replacement there. There was one listed in a nearby salvage yard with medium miles. Price was $130 but they took $100+ tax. It is a good option just to get her up and running.

I know what you're going through, this is my first truck I saved like crazy for since I was 14.

Rebuilt engine
Replaced rear diff, front diff
ball joints are going
2 brake calipers
u-joints soon

I don't even have 8k miles on this truck! but now I've got a pretty new drivetrain lol
