02 ram HID problems

Default 02 ram HID problems

new to the forum and i have a couple questions, first i just recently put HIDs in the headlights and the fog lights. the fog lights are fine but the headlights....well they were a pain in the butt from the begining! i got them to work but i have the darn "lamp out" light on and purchased "problem eliminator plugs" off ebay and just put them in and still there. what can i do to get the light off?? thanks a bunch in advanced for any help.

You might need to switch the connector. Unplug the connector and reverse it to see if it fixes your problem.

when i had the harness the feeding the right light first it was the only that worked. now im getting some flickering from the lights. anyone had this problem and solve it??

There are lots of threads on this and guys who had issues with HIDs flashing, strobing and give the Lamp Out on the dash. You need to use 50 watt load resistors to trick the PCM and correct those issues.

Do you have a HID hi/lo kit or HID low/halogen high kit?

Douing a simple thread search here on the board for HIDs will greatly help you and answer most if not all of your Qs.

Im not at my normal PC at work where i have my favs accessible or i would direct you to some links. But you finding them should not be an issue as many of them are out there

thanks a bunch weedahoe!! looked at your gallary and WOW, you have done a bunch of stuff to your truck!! i will be getting with you in the near future about some things i want to do to mine. it is an 02 1500 2wd sport 4 door with the 5.9. it is paid off now and i have the bug to do some upgrades.
