Only thing with bags is that they get wrecked if you do any serious off-roading. In that case you'll need helper springs, but no big deal

if you do serious off-roading you shouldnt be doing this anyway. you'll have no flex whatsoever with bags or springs.

In my case my springs were wore out so bags would not fix my problem.
So I replaced them with HD version and thought the extra leaf would make the truck stiffer and bouncier. Well that wasn't the case, she rides very smooth overall now and also added a pair of rancho shocks. So nothin wrong will Airbags if your springs are serviceable and cost is fair. For the springs and shocks it cost me about 1200 with the new u-bolts and rear shackles so yes not cheap but I did gain 2 in lift do gimme back some rake to go with my leveling keys up front.

Yeah, there's a spring shop here in town if I wanted a custom or heavy duty set made, but I'm thinking I'll go with just some simple bags. Like Hammer, I'll only have to mess with them occasionally.

Anyone have a specific link or source for a good price on some?

I have Anrott airbags. $225 shipped on Ebay. They hold 5,000lbs's most out of any 1/2ton bags. The hardware is super thick anodized steel. I have had mine on for 2 winters now and haven't had any issue's at all. I keep them at 10lbs when empty and the truck rides like stock. The more weight you put in, obviously the more pressure they need, but the smoother the ride actually gets. I put about 1500lbs in my bed before and only needed 45psi in the bags to hold the truck slightly higher than level. And to think the bags hold 100psi is insane.
HERE they are. No drilling like a few of the other kits require. Easy on/easy off. Took me 45min start to finish. One valve fills both bags. I mounted my valve on my trailer hitch.
And yes, I put tape on that airline where it will rub the frame...
This side also has a heat shield for the exhaust, but since i have a side exit, I didn't see the need to even install it.

Running 20lbs in them is suitable for hauling up to 500lbs as well as running empty with no ill effects. Anything higher than 25psi and the back end will start to bounce around. I have begun to leave 20psi in them all the time for easability.

I saw the Arnotts online, and they looked pretty good. Whats the most weight you've hauled with them installed?

Will the brackets work if I get some small lift blocks in the rear? I was going to get an inch and a half block so it will be even when I crank my lift keys a little. I got some off of eBay, and without hardly any turns brought it up to level.
