You can look under the fuse cover and it might tell you or download the service manual in the links in my signature to help you out. Or pull the radio out....

i looked through the manual, maybe im dumb but i cant figure it out from the manual. do i pull the fuse that goes to the radio amp? I would think there would be a different one for the amp and the actual radio. its the cd player that keeps spinning that i think is draining the battery

Why not just pull out the radio since you know that is the issue and you are going to have to replace it anyway?

All you need is one phillips screw driver. Im sure some of your friends have one. If not, stop by any store on the way from school and pick up a cheap one (better yet, a full set of tools).

Sounds like from the first time you posted you knew what the issue was/is. If it is spinning constantly and non-stop with the engine not running and key out then yeah, thats a possibilty.

On page 994 of 2895 it shows fuse 21 as supplying power to the HU. What else that fuse powers IDK. So you may lose power to other things as well.

Dosen't your radio shut off with the ignition key? after market Radio?
I would be looking at things like the hood light or interior lights

Put your favorite CD in and play it real loud, go out to the fuse box and start pulling fuses until the noise stops. If the truck won't start, put the last fuse pulled back in and keep going. Repeat until truck starts and the CD isn't playing. Good luck....

Had this problem with the wife's car. Turned out to be a bad switch in a sun visor mirror light. The light was suppose to come on only when the cover was lifted but would stay on with the cover closed. It was a lot like checking if the light was on in a refrigerator. lol
