where to put cables through the firewall?

Default where to put cables through the firewall?

HI,
iv got an 04 ram 1500. where is the best place to run the plow control cables through the firewall.

the controller itself will be placed next to the 4x4 shifter.

There is a grommet above the brake pedal assembly.

What he said. Inboard of the brake booster and up a bit is a six-sided plastic plate (it's where the clutch pedal linkage would run). Very easy to drill holes in to run cables/tubing.

There are lots of open areas that you could drill through the firewall if your plow cables are too big to fit through any existing grommets.

I'm running my plow cables tomorrow so I'll let you know how my experiences go.

What kind of plow are you running?

so the wiring harnesses aren't that much different then my Boss V-Blade.

I'll let you know how it goes.

Pop off the plastic filler piece where your slave cylender would be and drill it out, feed your wires,add your grommet, and call it a day. Worked great.

As for the push bracket and bracing....if you're doing that yourself good luck. Succession of 8 bits to get through the frame from the pilot hole to the proper 5/8" hole. That frame is made of some hard steel!

Trust me, i am running 2/0 welding cables as my power wires to my amps. There is lots of room.

that is some big *** wire weed. i thought my rockford fosgate 4/0 was big
