Keep in mind there is a check valve in the tank so if it isnt working right then it will not let fuel go through which will then back up and cause the fuel nozzle to kick off.

 

I have an '08 with the same problem.
The only way I could get gas into the tank was by dribbling gas into tank from the filler, barely squeezing the handle.
I took it in last week for an oil change (got 2 a year for 10 years with the truck), and asked the dealer to take a look.
The dealership has just ordered me a new tank. They said it was a problem with the tank vent.
