Hello everyone, I have a quick question. I have a 03 1500 QuadCab w/ the standard Hemi and tranny. My Question is this...When I start out from idle, I have a nice flutter going on, until I reach about 2K RPM. Any other time, the tranny performs flawlessly, but its the starting out thats really chapping my hide. Any Ideas... could it be the bands, or torque convertor. I'm totally at a loss on this one.

Does it do that regardless of throttle pressure? Maybe the bands need adjustment.

this has been discussed before, I'm unsure of what came out of it but I think it might have something to do with the TC.

 

There's a TSB issued to reprogram the computer for shifting probs...check the dealer to see if it applies to yours. Also, one thing to consider, too, is the fan clutch. On mine, it always seems to lock up the first couple of hundred yards and tends to sound like a tranny issue, but there's no vibration or "shudder"...just noise.
