Mufflers
So let me get this straight, so if I just ordered a muffler say the Dynomax for example this part http://www.summitracing.com/parts/WLK-17233/ does it fit right in (bolt on)? and there is no need for me to change the whole exhaust system to gain the benefit (horse power , sound) right? please someone confirm this
thanks

Well, no muffler will be a direct bolt-on. The stock muffler is like 3ft long so your gonna need an extension piece regardless of muffler choice and it would need to be flared on the ends to slide over the stock piping and you would need the exact staggered set-up for inset/offset as well.
If your not that handy, i would just buy the muffler and go to a muffler shop where they can cut off your old muffler and weld on the new one with a filler piece. probably run you $80.
i like my magnaflow. Cheaper than $120 as well. They run about $80 or so.

^^ yeah its called a catback and they are very expensive. I bargain shopped for mine and still payed $550 for a Magnaflow stainless. If my truck wasnt brand new I would have just cut off the muffler and done some welding.
O
xguy, you have a resonator as well that you may want to have removed. Yours should be near the end of your tailpipe??? Some years even have 2, but i think that's the 06/07 models.
