Default Weird Knocking - What is it?

I was on my way back home from Milwaukee and started to hear what sounded like a weird knocking from the left front side. It gradually got louder as I made my way home. There was no smell of any kind, and could feel vibration in the steering wheel. Need help!!

Thats a fairly undetailed description. is the knocking from your engine? is it from your suspension? When does this knocking happen? There can be several issue's that encounter a knocking sound.
If you could be a little more descriptive and point us in the right direction, then we can better assist you. until then, It's up in the air and you'll likely get a bunch of unecessary ideas.

Also, if you could tell a little bit about your truck that would help as well. is it 2wd or 4wd. is it stock or does it have a leveling kit...etc,.

Default my bad

Ah yes, sorry about that. As my brother and I pulled into Milwaukee I noticed what sounded like a warped disc (metallic rubbing sound). Parked my truck for a while and when we left I could still hear the sound on the right side (he was driving). Pulled into Madison and noticed the sound became louder and could start to feel more of a vibration and rattling slight knocking sound. Got back on the road and this time the sound was more significant, more vibration, and rattling. Brother said something about a CV or Universal joint. Could feel the vibration in the steering wheel and he said it was gradually getting worse.

I'm assuming that you have a 4x4 since your brother thinks its a CV joint. if it is a worn cv joint when you put your truck into 4 wheel drive and try to turn you will feel it binding and almost hopping. we need more info on your truck, is it a 1500, 2500 etc, what year?

vibration through the steering wheel could be CVs if you have a 4wd. Try lifting that wheel off the ground with a jack and pulling on the wheel let to right and up and down to check other front end components just as ball joints and wheel bearings.
