All '03 Hemi trucks are capable of the TMR mod, regardless if they have a 3 plug JTEC controller or the newer 4 plug NGC controller. Find the TMR wire on the second controller mounted on the passenger fender and cut it. Tuners go by the VIN of the truck and if it is a model year '03 then all the tuning options and capabilities will remain the same regardless the controller type. My truck was built the end of May with the newer controller and operates the same as every other '03 with the 5 or 6 different brand scanners and tuners I've connected over the years.
So the question goes back to FreeStyle, what makes your PCM an 04? A 03 model VIN should dictate it being a 03. And with that said why can't a 04 do the TMR mod?

I prefer not to cut the wire.
It's easy to just slide one of those real tiny flat blade screwdrivers down the sides of the plug into the crimped pin, releasing the small metal tab that keeps the pin in place in the plug.
A tug on the wire then pulls the pin free.
You can then re-install the wire and pin easily if needs be.
Anyone with an 03 and the seperate transmission controller must do this free and quick mod.
It really wakes up 1-2 and 2-3 changes and the truck really lunges forward, as someone previous said on this thread at WOT.
Best bang for the buck.....read here "free"......I've ever done!
