That's pretty much the take I got when I read the manual after running a 5.9L Ram, a silverado, and some ricer honda on the way home.
I can't recall a new car that I ever babied for the first whatever period. The only engine I ever did any formal breakin on was the engine in my Coronet and I basically followed what Mopar Performance recommends which is short part throttle and wide open throttle burst for varying distances not exceeding the 1/4 mi.
Personally, I wouldn't worry to much about it.

At first I thought the half charcoal / half khaki interior was a messup, but that has been confirmed to be standard. Then I thought the doors were out of spec because the top lips extend about a half inch above the roof, but that's an intentional air and water channel (or at least that was what I was told by several people).
