Default Strange Question.....But Might As Well Give It Shot

Are there any third party vendors that produce tops of the dashboard from METAL? Have an 02 Ram and the top of the dash is now beginning to crack in two places. Also does anyone make METAL door handles? The flat black plastic has lost it's black and is turning white. Damn the environment and plastic...I want metal.

I was thinking of just painting the door handles flat black....but....apparently paint doesn't like Dodge trucks.

I have no idea about the dash but you can buy a liquid to get the black on the black again.

Ever touched your seatbelt buckle after it sat in a hot truck all day? That would be your dash all the time. Opposite in winter, there's a reason there was never big metal pieces in the interior of vehicles.
But I do know several people on here have painted all the plastic on their trucks and it's held up well

You can tint the windshield with that UV protection 0% or even a light 5% or something and block 99% of UV rays. It helps ridiculously

Its not going to darken at all, rather just block what sends the heat

How about a dash cover and some handle covers. I've seen the chrome handle covers, don't know about black ones.
