Truck started running bad all the sudden. Bogging down when punching the accellerator and backfiring. No check engine light at first then it came on like a week later. computer says mis fire in number 2 and number 4 cylinders. I replaced the spark plugs, distributor and rotor, even the wires and it helped but didn't resolve the problem. evryone is telling me after I thought it could be injectors that its not, any ideas before I throw even more money at my beast?

 

What year truck? What size engine? How many miles are on it? Did the components under the hood get wet recently? The only thing i can think of that you haven't replace maybe the coil pack.

 

is there any coolant in the oil? what about checking compression on #2 & #4?
