So tired of this clunker. one more problem
Figured I would update this thread since it's been more than a year. The biggest problem with my truck at this time was that it was clicking and clanking around town. It was an annoying problem that drove me crazy for 3 months. I took the truck to 3 Lynchburg mechanics who all acknowledged the noise but found no problems. I even told the idiots to look at the brakes! Finally, after risking a drive back to michigan, I took the truck to a mechanic here in Michigan who found the problem immediately. Turns out that the shop that installed my pads last year didn't re-install some clips. What a bundle of idiots. Anyway, the abs and brake warning lights have been on for over a year with no real problems. Apparantly they are indicating the fact that my abs motor is shot. I was wondering if anyone has ever replaced that before and if its feasible for someone who's only gone as far as a head swap to do?
