got a question.. need help please
well my truck has a blown heater core, and i know the blend door is brooken too.. its stuck in the mddle position (not defrost or feet).. But now my question is if i put in the new heater core this weekend will i get heat out those middle vents? Basically what i mean is does the blend doors affect the heat at all or does it just control where it comes out? I dont have enough money to do both right now, so im picking the heater core over the doors cause its getting cold now.. i was gonna look at the doors when i pull the dash (its know its dumb having to pull the dash twice) and see if there is pplastics caught in the motot or whatever.. I hope you guys understand what im asking, thank you.

well one day when i turned on my heat, smoke/steam was coming out the vents. so i went to switch it to defrost, and it doesnt move off the middle vent. i rerouted the hoses to the core, and steam/smoke stopped. so i would assume that its both a blend door and a core? or am i way off and just have to do the doors?

What is the question are you asking? The blend doors direct air flow from defrost to panel to floor. The recir door gives you hot or cold. If the heater core is leaking, then pull the dash and replace the heater core and all the doors in the heater box. Just so you know, don't start your post with i have a question. If you have tech question, just say so. In other words, to get the right answer you need to ask the right questions.
