Default Painting aluminum engine parts

Getting ready to install hemi so I figured I'd take a little time to paint it (hemi orange) while it's out. Does anyone have experience priming/painting aluminum?

I've read about people using an epoxy primer (strontium chromate) and etching primer. I haven't seen any etch primer that is high temp for engines and I'm not sure if the high temp primers will stick to the aluminum parts.

I'd really like to stick with spray cans. Any suggestions?

I would media blast everything to rough up the surface and then clean and paint. Thats assuming its off the block. If its on the block then all you can do is clean it really good and spray with high temp paint.
