First you have to have a 4x4. And I don't know about the '05s, but on my '03 I cranked mine up 1 1/2" on each side. The bolts are under the passenger and driver doors. You should see a long bar going front to back of your truck. At the rear of the bar will be a bolt head facing down, towards the street. Put a mark on the hex head so you can count the turns you turn it in. Tightening it raises the truck, loosening it lowers the truck. For me, 4 complete turns was 1". So I ran my bolts in 6 turns.
I measured the distance between a fixed place on my wheel to a spot on my fender. Did that on both sides. Turned my torsion bars up till both sides were equally raised.

Get an alignment after raising it, it will be off even though it might not drive like it is. The only drawback is the ride will be rougher. You'll feel more on the street. You won't be riding in the comfort zone of the shock and the front end components will have stress on it so you'll feel it going over holes or speed bumps.
