How far should I push the stock battery?

I'm in south florida and it gets pretty hot and humid down here, too. Mine managed to last me just over 8 years so there are no complaints here. Just funny how it decided to die when it did. It slowed to start but turned over fairly quickly, then poof! Even a jump took some time before I could start it. Drive it around, came home, nada ... We'll see how that AutoCraft 850 holds up. 3 year replacement, 7 year prorated isn't too shabby!
