Default engineEvaporative Emission Control System Leak message P 0442

I figured out that it is an P0442 Evaporative Emission Control System Leak Detected (small leak)
Does anyone have experience with this or is it usually not a huge deal? Any input is appreciated.

Tighten your gas cap! Then have the code cleared or wait for it to cycle off again. That message is almost always a gas cap that doesn't seal well after you put gas in.

i had my 04' in 4 times until it was fixed.the first time they replaced the gas cap.the other 2 times the emission sensor was replaced.the cure was to add a gasket seal that was missing from the factory!!this cured my problem and it has been running fine since.
this problem had the techs' puzzled until they visually inspected the instead of using the computer to detect the problem.

the gas tank has a line that recirculates back in to the engine for emissions, unlike older models vehicles which vented in to the atmosphere.this small leak is on this line which will show this code error.
