Default Abrupt stalling when cold?

I am the orignal owner of my 06' 1500 Hemi (76,000 miles) and for the first time i have had it stall on me twice.

Both times it was in the teens tempature wise and the truck had been not driven for at least 12 hours. he truck starts fine. I let it idle for a few minutes to the point the tempature gauge has moved up a bit. Then i start driving for maybe thirty seconds but as soon as i start up the hill on my road the engine gets under a bit of a load, it just instantly dies and the "Check gauges" lights comes on. But nothing else. The truck then re-starts fine and the issue does not happen again?

As for a little background...

I just did the plugs and air filter about 4,000 miles ago. I have always used at least 89 octane since day one switched to Mobil1 5W20 at my last oil change. The truck is bone stock. No mods at all.

I did add an oil pan heater and the Mopar OEM block heater. This stalling issue happened once when the truck had been plugged in and once it was not.

Any thoughts?

Nobody? Have an appointment in the AM at the dealer to read the computer. Hopefully something will come up.

Have you popped out any codes? I'm thinking your 02 sensor may be sticking in the closed loop mode, with a bad 02sensor causing your truck to either run very rich or run so lean that your not getting enough fuel thus causing the stalling. I'm thinking lean on this one because it the 02 sensor doesn't pump out enough voltage, this would be the case.

There is no "Check Engine" light on then or now. The only thing i get once it dies is the "Check Gauges" light. But this problem only happens once each time. Once i re-start, the problem is gone. It has happened only twice since i owned the truck. Both in the past week.

The dealer said they will hook up the computer no charge and at least tell me if they can find anything.

O2 sensors are funny sometimes, they won't give you a code untill they crap out. Try pulling out your o2 (leaving it connected to the wire harness)and run up the hill like you usually do and see if it stalls.

Ill post more once i have time, but this issue appears to be tied to the Transmission fluid level. A friend with the same year, make and model had the same issue and it was right after he did a tranny fluid change (which i just did last month too). Not enough fluid in the TC killing the engine. Ill post more info soon.

My durango with the hemi has a very similar problem. I'll fire it up, let it idle for a minute, put it in gear (D or R), then she'll die. I try to restart, turns and turns, won't fire. Key on-off-on, still don't fire, hits a couple times, but thats it. I end up having to pump the gas while cranking it to get'er to fire. I've had this happen SEVERAL times, in all weather. None of it makes any sense to me, especially the pumping the gas pedal like it has a carb.

Kinda random post, and I don't mean to hijack your thread OP. Just kinda trying to compare my situation to others and maybe get some tips.
