Anyone have any input on the "Power Steering Pressure Switch"?? This code says mine is bad and all it does is increase the idle speed while turning at idle......is it worth replacing??

BTW, I don't think it has ever worked as the idle speed has never increased while turning!!

switch is about $35. If you got the funds, replace it.

 

Yeah.....I just checked Rock Auto and it is $24.00 or so plus shipping...I'll probably just change it out!!

Have a lot of them failed??

 

I cant say Ive seen a lot of threads with the same issues so i guess not.

 

Getting a new switch from CarQuest today....we'll see if that fixes it!!??

BTW, the idle does not change a bit when the wheels are turned indicating the switch is bad!!

Installed and driven a week....no more CEL....FIXED!!
