Default 2005 dodge ram transmission lines.

Anyone know if you need a special tool to disconnect the transmission cooling lines from the transmission. I know you need a tool to disconnect them from the trans cooler.

yes, you need an oil/fuel line tool. i bought an entire set from NAPA for like $5.

oh wait, i just reread your post. no special tools needed to take the line off the tranny itself. just loosen the nut with a wrench, and the lines come right off.

However, a set of flair wrenches will work better on the trans lines than an open ended wrench

They look like this and hold the nut better so it doesnt slip and round the corners off
