Default Check Engine light?

I have an 06 2500 Megacab 5.7hemi. I was stuck in some snow so I put it in 4WD lock tried to wiggle out of the pile. After a little while no dice so I shut her down kicked the snow around from the tires(that I could reach). Got back in tried it again, started making some progress then the check engine light came on. It's my fathers truck and I'm only borrowing. So any input as to what it is greatly appreciated.

Yeah, take it to a local auto parts store and tell them the CEL is on and ask them to scan it. Let them give you the codes and bring them back here so we can help you out

I was planning on doing that but someone vandalized the car last night. I'll just tell the shop I'm bringing it to scan it up. I'll have details later today.

Well the passenger side had snow up to the windows from the drifts, the driver side was a few inches under the body

Yeah, I'd say that's pretty stuck!

So I got the truck back from the shop. The mechanic said there wasn't a check engine light on when he got it.
