Default 2003 Ram 1500 pin striping removal?

Just bought my first Dodge about two weeks ago when I got home from Afghanistan. I just joined this forum last night and I guess my account has not been activated yet to allow me to post in the DIY section. I was wondering if anyone had any advice on removing the factory pin-striping. There is not a clear coat overtop of it. Thanks for any help you guys can throw at me.

i would use a 3m wheel on a air tool or a drill , the 3m wheel is like a round rubber earaser and it is used to take off decals very easy to use . they have an off brand one for about 10 dollars and this will cut your time in half of taking that off

Yeah, for years everyone I knew called them "pin stripe erasers". Here is a DIY for total debadging using one, but you'll get the idea. Taking off the pinstripe is literally as fast as you can walk down the side of your truck...

Worked great! I can't believe how fast it came off, I literally did it over my lunch break. When I turned the drill on I was a little worried about putting that eraser deal on my paint so I just touched it to a small section back by the tail light and like magic the pin stripe was gone and the paint was fine. I went as far to even us it on the goo left over from stripping the emblems off the driver and passenger door. Thanks alot I got just what I needd and it worked out great.
