Question Hemi Wiring Harness - Orange Wire?

In the process of installing hemi (2003). Getting ready to put the wiring harness in and noticed this stray orange wire on the pcm/tcm side of the harness.

I was going to do alldata for this swap, but I didn't think I was going to need it. If anyone has an idea, it would be helpful. Thanks. Sorry it's a crappy phone pic.

It is one of two wires.
From a Dakota ECM It would be ...one of these two..
Pin #17 K7 (OR) 5 Volt Supply...C-1- Plug..
Pin #14 K107(OR) Leak detection Pump..C-2 -Plug...

They Connect to These pins on the 2003-Hemi ECU...
Pin #29 K7 (OR) 5 volt supply....C-3 Plug..
Pin #35 K107 (OR) Leak detection pump C-3 Plug..

Then There's one for the Hemi Plug you won't Use..
Pin# 33 G113 (OR) PTO Switch sensor...C-3 Plug..
If this don't help Track it with an Ohm meter and let me know where it goes
It pretty much has to be ONE of these wires...

It came from a 2003 Ram. Gonna get it in the truck tonight, but prob won't power everything up until this weekend when we actually try to fire it up.

I figured the wire was probably useless, but I thought I would reach out. Will check it with muiltimeter though and let you know. Thanks a lot!

Yep- Which ever one of these pin connectors it's from is what it's too. Are you swapping in a 2003 Hemi to a NON Hemi vehicle?Dak or something ?

Indeed, putting an 2003 hemi into a 2002 that had a 4.7 (blew up). Since the holidays are over, we're back to work on it. I've done a lot of research and I'm pretty sure I've gotten some info from some of your older posts (thanks).

Been taking pictures, so I plan to put up a thread documenting everything as soon as it runs.

I have a step by step on CustomDakotas.com..It has every pin-out from the 4.7 ecm and tcm.2001 and 2002..It has ALL-03' Hemi ecm & tcm pin-outs , and ALL-04' Hemi ecm pin outs.Enough listed to complete any swap from 2001-2002 4.7- to 2003 and 2004 Hemi..My name is the same on that sight HemiDak-Quad..That thread will save you hours if you don't already have the pin-outs your going to need..

Cool, I'll check it out. I'm thinking I'm going to luck out on this one. The hemi harness has the same C130 plug that goes into the dash that my 4.7 did.

Also, I might have a half-year thing going on. I know my clockspring is a 2003 so I think the inside wiring might be different than other 2002s. I also have rack & pinion like 2003s.

So the dash plugs fits. I know the pinouts may not be right (but hopefully they are!), but I'll cross wires before the plug if need be.

Mine has a taped-off orange wire. I figured the PO had removed something before trading it.

When you match the wires up from the Truck leading to the 4.7 ecm-To the 2003 Hemi ecm, The wires will only need to go from the computers to the pdc.(power distribution center). There should be two plugs on the back side "TOP INSIDE"Where your solenoids are.. Those are you're dash wires. You'll cut the BIG Hemi plug off and tie into those plug wires."Unless your truck has a big plug like the one that comes on the Hemi"
You'll use the pdc from your truck and splice into that, That way you won't have to get into anything that involves the dash..Speedo, lights etc...

This is an example I don't know if you need this info or not
But Just in case....

The C-3 Ram 4.7 ecm plug wires....You'll cut these plugs off..
pin#
#1 C13 (db/or) a/c Compressor Relay Control....
#2 K51 (db/yl) ASD Relay "Cotrol"..
#4 V36 (tn/rd) s/c Vacuum Control relay

These ^ three wires from the Truck will tie into
These \/ three wires to the 2003 Hemi Computer.
Pin#
#11 C13 (db/or) a/c Clutch relay control..C-3..Hemi
#3 K51 (db/yl) ASD Relay Control ..C-3 Hemi
#12 V36 (tn/rd) s/c vacuum control..If it has one..
The speed control on your ram and the Hemi is one of a few things that are different..But you should be O.K. doing this swap..It's not as bad as some think..
I don't know if this is the way your doing the wires, but It's the only way I know how....
