seat heater/vibration questions
Ive got to take my drivers seat cover off and replace/repair the foam under it as I can feel the frame on one side.
As I was in Walmart last night they had some heater/vibrating pads that you place in the seat to use. So thoughts were, can you put it under the OEM seat cover?
Sure a few things to work out would be possible shaving the foam down 1/4"-1/2" for it to sit flush and also so the seat cover would go back on with ease. The power controls would have to be re-wired and relocated but I was wondering if i could get some OEM switches and use them? Hmm....
Anyway, I would love to hear thoughts, ideas, concern and feedback on it before I go out and do it.

Well, if you are good with electrical stuff, I don't see any issue with performing such a task. It would be really nice and clean if you could purchase the factory installed switches for the heated seats and incorporate those... not sure how you would handle the vibration portion.
What about the passenger seat, are you doing that one too?
On a side note, when you get the seat cover and foam off and can see the metal frame work, look carefully at the very outer edge of the drivers seat (toward the door). There are a few areas that are quite sharp, and will eventually cause your cover too rip. Ask me how I know? Because my seat has a large rip/hole in this location, and I can look right at the frame there. Its no wonder why so many of these seats have a hole there... stupid design.
