Yes, did you replace both the muffler AND resonator? Need more info, please.

Thanks in advance.

No the resonator stayed in place. I believe the muffler (aeroturbine) would be way too loud without it. Now if you put on a magnaflow or flowmaster i would remove the resonator, I think they sound better like that. IMO. A friend of mine has the stock exhaust and just removed the resonator with the stock muffler in place and it sounds nice, not like aftermarket but it has a very nice deep tone to it.

They are loud. A friend that runs the local Midas shop got free one from a Hemi Ram owner who couldn't take the sound. Chad put it on his turbo 600 and it sounds OK on that.

Hemi Dave, do you have the stock muffler on the truck? If so maybe you need to open up the exhaust to get the performance gains from the CAI. If you have the stock muffler and want to keep it, a drop in K&N filter would probably work better and you would see and feel a gain in power. If you are bringing more air in at one end you need to be able to get it out the other end, a restriction in the middle and no gains will be felt.

As crazy as this may sound, you need to disconnect the battery negative for a couple hours. The computer will reset and the gains should be more noticable.

OK gang...here's the scoop on my MOPAR CAI. My truck has 3500 miles on it and is stock except for a Pace Edwards roll back bed cover. I still don't feel a power increase but honest to God...my average combo miledge has increased from 14.5 to 15.4...just like you flipped a switch. To say the least I am happy with the CAI but I don't really care for the droning sound it makes.

Will post highway MPG ASAP

Yes I did pull the ground cable MOPAR CAI directions said to do so...but I don't think it would make a difference.

Day 3 with the MOPAR CAI miledge still up 15.5-15.8 on my normal daily combo trip of 35 miles...I love it!

It's supposed to reset the computer to re-learn.
